the ideas are not new -- empowerment of the "plebian majority", education as the key to upward mobility; charity beginning at home.
the technology is not new either -- we now have the capabilities that were once only a figment in Gene Roddenberry's fertile mind.
neither is the incentive -- earning for me and for you
